Summer Den

Yesterday mama bear and I ventured out to our den in the woods. We got hung up in almost every mud hole we came to, and the normal 45 minute ride (10 minute on sno-go) took us almost three hours. We were covered head to toe in slimey, smelly swamp mud...it was AWSOME!!!
No sign of our brown cousins, however some critter tried to get into my gen shed, probley had a toster or something.
Blond bear will be practiceng every day this week for all stars, starting July 11, at Knik fields in eagle river. She seems excited to get gointg and play ball.
Next week-end we will be in Kenai at the fourth of July softball tourney. Teams from anch and the vally usualy show up, along with the four or five Kenai teams, it should be fun playing against strangers for a change. We will be wearing our Angler jerserys proudley.

I want to visit the den in the woods. Even if i am covered in stinky MUD. I hope the critters toaster worked...you should make your genorator open to use for you critter cousins i am sure they would appericate a warm meal.

Tell Dana eagle river is just 15 min. from anchorage....I though blonde was playing at the Knik ball fields (not the knik field in ER). Maybe we should plan a clan camping trip... up north!! The buffalo have plenty of fire wood :)

And you have tried to talk me into making this trek? For those that have not seent he Anglers play, they are a very good team. Although the one game I have watched them play this year, they lost by one run (first loss this seson) the followng night they wiped out SBS with a score like 30 - 4! Wouldn't you have made better time to the cabin if you had driven your new Chevy? That short wheel base, you could have made it there in five minutes and given it a good field test for the winter months so you would know what to expect. Check with the Moose and Wolf Clan, they both have great collections of wheelchairs and shopping baskets, between JD Plumma and Homer, I bet they could invent a "swamp buggy" that could get you in their in style.
