ooops

Mama Bear showed me how to use the speller yesterday, also the year I was referring to in my last blog was 1989, Susan had won the past three years and was a heavy favorite to win four in a row, and tie Swenson for most victories. I found this cool photo of Rick at the Daily News website.

Once on the trail, those dogs do not apepar to be as excited and hyper as they do on 4th Avenue in Anchorage. I am really surprised that ESPN does not broadcast the race from various check points, I mean like it beats Professional Bowling, Cricket, and Basketball!

Susan put the female in mushing...a great woman I hear...I remember following her wins a very long time ago...

Mackey has had his little 24 hour nap, with fifteen dogs rested and the 16 mushers in front of him in Cripple Creek, will likely hear the swish of sled runners in their dreams as Mackey dashes for Nome. King and Swenson is also hanging out around him, it may well be a good finish with the three of them ion a sprint.

Mackey heading down the river, has a couple of hour lead on King, but King is running two more dogs than Mackey. The rest ofthe pack had best get onthe trial or they are going to be eating Macky/King dust all the way to Nome.

Nope, noone up here either. You are suppose to be up and setting all yur clocks forward this morning. I should call you and remind you since it is 4:56 am and you are late. Does this mean you are going to be 2 hrs and 56 minutes late evry morning during fishing season?

Shane your a little behind here...working toward the red lantern?...King is leading...Machey on his butt...scratched last night...Joe Reddingtons grandson...scratched out of Naltag...down to 10 dogs...not running well....a rookie lost his dog to pneumonia...and he too scratched...a good race here...almost to the coast....

What are yu talking about, Mackey did not scratch. this morning at 4:30 when I check, he had stop or at least did not have his GPS on, King was behind him 22 miles. Now King is ahead of Mackey by 11 miles - but Mackey had a decent nap and restd his dogs, King has been on the trail all night. LOoks to me like to team race to Nome at this time.

Bad Grammar father...but I am glad I was not the only one to fall for it...hey shane...macky is leaving Unalakeet....and it looks as if King ditched his GPS at mile 666...
