Season Summary

sixteen sleepless nights,
Three lousy little bites.
If I could do it again,
I would surely sleep in!
The season was not a total loss,
saw a Brown Bear on the river,
almost gave my cookies a toss,
he was born free, and running loose,
I'm sure he was thinking about baby moose.
on the last day, we fished at the bridge,
we didn't know,
we were being watched from the ridge.
When Jimmy caught the only fish of the day,
A large majestic eagle wanted to play,
He swooped down with all his might,
(gave us all quite a fright)
and took Jimmy's fish--into the night.

Hell of note when the highlights of a King season is seeing a bear wade the river and a Eagle steal a fish, but I do have to agree it was the highlight. I still have notr figured out what has happened this year, more peole and less fish. Perhaps it was a good year inthe fact thqat there were so many people and so few fish, perhaps they will not return. Jimmy is still not believing that his fish was stolen, but he is blaming a Eagle and a Bear for stealing his fish. Your trip into
the trees convinced him that we were the culprits. The fish was directly behind me, I heard the flap of the wings and turned just in time to see the fish going airborne. Should have been turned loose anyway.

That made the whole season. We will forever be blamed for stealing Jim's Jack. Love it!

I can't wait to actually hear this story of the missing jack. We are gonna try to be down next weekend, if not the weekend after.

So you didn't take one in '08.... so you take them all in '09? We haven't seen any!
